Director's Message

The Corona Virus (COVID–19) is a novel virus which has impacted the lives of many individuals globally. It is now the harsh reality that temporarily life as we know it has changed. We now must plan if we are going to rise above this adversary or fall. We are a resilient people who have the innate ability to soar when we are too tired or unable to walk. The Government of Jamaica ordered the closure of schools on March 13, 2020 leaving many in a state of panic compounded by the uncertainty surrounding the education of the county’s children. Since then many online platforms are being utilized to administer lessons.

At Emann Prep, our students are our number one priority and will always be the center of our decisions. Our students and even some of their parents, in the comfort of their homes are now engaged by their teachers daily via the use of Zoom and other online platforms. They are now representing what we can call “The New Age Schooling.” We are determined to give them the best experience even in the worst of situations. Some activities from our Calendar of Events will be done virtually so please stay connected.

Parents we urge you to think pass Covid-19 and realize that no matter what we are faced with, life goes on and so does school. Support your child with online home schooling; remember knowledge is always at the tip of our fingers. Let us continue to follow the guidelines given to maintain social distancing and proper hygiene so things can get back to normal as soon as possible.

As our theme for 2019- 2020 outlines “Embracing the Change, Transforming Lives Through Excellence.”

We may be down but we are certainly not out!
